With more than 25 years of experience in the fragrance industry, they founded Essential Parfums with a rebellious spirit and the mission to restore the essence of haute perfumery. At Essential Parfums, they grew from a simple approach: giving perfumers carte blanche to create, with no constraints or limits.

They partner with the best master and senior perfumers in the world, carefully sourcing the finest sustainable ingredients whenever possible, to be transformed into olfactory masterpieces. The result is a place to buy uniquely luxurious scents at an accessible price - all wrapped in eco-friendly packaging.

They created this brand to share a true passion for the art of scent — therefore, our priority will always be the fragrance itself, rather than the trappings that surround it (like fancy bottles, advertising costs, and licensing fees that tend to muddle the essence of perfumery).

As for the ingredients themselves, the costliness and complexity of working with naturals makes them a far rarer find in the fragrance world, but they know that they are well worth the effort to produce perfumes that do justice to each note within. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, which is why they focus on a precious handful of natural ingredients over a cacophony of synthetics.

At Essential Parfums, they believe that haute perfumery at an accessible price is not only possible, but also the best way forward. By cutting out the middleman and traditional modes of advertising, we are able to bypass costs that take away from the quality of our scents. they then pass these saving to you. Our design reflects this belief as well; each elegant glass bottle puts the focus on the precious contents within, labelled simply with the fragrance name and perfumer’s signature.

Essential Parfums are always thoughtful about the environmental impact of our perfumes, and therefore prioritize sustainability in everything we do, from start to finish.

Their perfumers focus on natural and sustainable raw materials that not only create powerful fragrances, but also respect both local producers’ communities and the environment. They use alcohol made of beetroot and do not add any coloring. The color of your fragrance may vary depending on the harvest. Fragrances are from 86% to 93% natural.

The glass supplier pursues a sustainable development policy by opting for solutions that minimize the environmental impact of the production processes and replacing gas emissions with electric furnaces.

The paper packaging is FSC-certified, promoting the practice of environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable forestry worldwide. It is fully recycled. They do not use any plastic on the outer packaging, in order to preserve our planet.

Divine Vanille, is a tribute to vanilla absolute, sustainably produced of Madagascar.

Mysterious, suave, deep, carnal … simply irresistible. Natural Tonka beans and benzoin enhance the soft, balmy and addictive facets of vanilla. A blend of natural cinnamon bark and sensual leathery tones of natural osmanthus reveal rich facets of blond tobacco and dried fruits. An innovative fraction of natural cedarwood and patchouli brings a creamy woody structure highlighted with silky musks, wrapping the fragrance with a delicate luminous veil.

Eau de Parfum concentrated at 16% – without coloring – 89% natural

A clary sage oil, cinnamom, Black Pepper, all natural, followed by an absolute ostmanthus giving fruity apricot-like undertones. A touch of natural Incense leads you to an absolute Vanilla, sustainably produced from Madagascar, developing local education and healthcare infrastructure as well as promoting local food security. At the last note, Tonka beans from Venezuela, benzoin from Laos, and Patchouli from Indonesia, all sustainably produced.

Olivier Pescheux is as passionate as he is pragmatic. His portfolio spanning different genres and styles is a testament to his continuing explorations and research. He appreciates the beauty of ‘sculpting’ raw materials.

Olivier has a finetuned understanding of the fragrance market, and his compositions have a modern, unconventional tone.

"I imagined this fragrance as a vibrant tribute to the aristocratic beauty of Calabrian bergamot, sublimating it with a few rose and jasmine petals and some precious woods softened by tonka bean."

A sunny burst of the finest natural Calabrian bergamot leaves an impression of brightness behind, woven with a Natural floral accord of rose petals, jasmine, and ylang-ylang from the Comoros Archipelago. Precious cedarwood creates a warm base, softened by Tonka beans from Venezuela.

Nice Bergamote features a natural and sustainable variety of ylang-ylang from Comores extracted by lowering the impact on the local ecosystem and by implementing a replanting program of trees.

We source Tonka beans that support local Venezuelan communities, with an agreement to protect the surrounding fauna.

A duet of natural bergamots: bergamote integral Orpur Italy and bergamot oil, natural Jasmine Grandiflora Extract, natural cedarwood extract. Comores archipelagos sustainable ylang-ylang, extracted by lowering the impact on the local ecosystem and by implementing a replanting program of trees. Venezuelan sustainable Tonka beans, supporting local communities with micro credit opportunities and agreement to protect the local fauna.

Perfumer

Born in Grasse, Antoine Maisondieu comes from a family with deep roots in perfumery, but he did not intend to enter the métier immediately.  Rather, he became fascinated with it after years of studying law and art history.

​

As he puts it, “There is so much to love about perfume: creativity, poetry, elegance”. His approach is instinctive, he creates refined compositions based on strong ideas. 

​

At once fresh, honeyed, and warm, The Musc is a subtle blend of captivating scents. It opens with red ginger from Laos and natural lavandin grosso from France. Natural and sustainable beeswax brings a creamy sweetness to the heart, paired with a pure note of Nirvanolide musk. Australia’s natural sandalwood punctuates the blend with warm, woody tones.

Replanted 20 years ago, Australia’s sandalwood album provides Aboriginal communities with protection and sustainability for their land.

Ethical sourcing reg ginger from Laos implementing a polycultural approach and natural lavandin grosso from France. Beeswax also from Laos allowed 2 secondary schools to be built and limit rural exodus. Australian sandalwood promoting a sustainable supply of sandalwood oil that is harvested by Aboriginal communities in the southern part of Western Australia. A duo of sythetic musk (Nirvanolide and Serenolide, exclusive captif from Givaudan) offering fresh, creamy notes as well as long lastingness, with a touch of sweet facet.

As a child, Calice Becker once asked her mother how flowers get inside a bottle of Eau de Cologne. The liquid inside was transparent, but it smelled strongly of orange blossoms. Once she started studying perfumery, she discovered the answer to this mystery, and today she herself fills crystal bottles with flowers.

One of the most respected perfumer in the world, Calice has created world renowned fragrances such as Dior J’adore and other “chef d’oeuvre” for Avon, By Kilian, Calvin Klein, Christian Dior (J'adore), Estée Lauder, Hugo Boss, Jennifer Lopez, Lancome, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Pierre Balmain, Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, Vera Wang, Versace.

"I imagined a duet of roses (Rose Essential and Rose Absolute from Turkey) expressing the multiplicity and sensuality of this flower on a vibrant and captivating musk base note.”

The most sensual of all flowers displays all its facets in this creation — playful, addictive, and modern in turn. A hint of bitter grapefruit and fresh peppermint contrast against the lush femininity of the rose.

Layers of lychee, natural cedarwood, musks, and natural vanilla bean add to its intoxicating appeal. At the core of Rose Magnetic is a combination of natural Rose Essential ™ LMR and natural Turkish Rose Absolute LMR, both certified “For Life.”

Each is sustainably produced, with the goal of providing more stable wages to local communities.

A duet of Rose: Rose essential and Turkish rose both certified IMO For Life: improving cultivation whilst reducing the impact on the environment and helping the local communities get better and more stable revenues. LMR Rose Ultimate Extract ™ uses distillation followed by solvent extraction, to deliver aspects of the rose which usually disappear in traditional extractions. A lychee blend, and natural cedarwood followed by musk notes. The bottom notes are given by a natural vanilla bean from Madagascar and natural Tonka beans.

We use natural sandalwood oil harvested by Aboriginal communities in Western Australia, promoting a sustainable supply of the precious ingredient.

Originally from Grasse, France, Natalie received a doctorate in pharmacology and soon decided to pursue her passion for fragrance and enter the Givaudan school of perfumery.
Her exploration of music, literature, photography, as well as her panoply of scent impressions, influence every perfume she creates.

Her fragrances exemplify “le partipris“ motivated by her desire to construct expressive scents with clarity and finesse.

Charismatic and elegant — but surprising — this composition centers around the natural essence of Haitian vetiver. An unexpected gin accord infuses it with freshness from Mexican lime and juniper essence.

Accents of natural lavandin and gentian add even more interest, intensified by mysterious facets of cashmere wood and natural Indonesian patchouli.

Mon Vetiver is built on Vetiver Haiti LMR, which is certified “For Life,” reducing environmental impact and supporting farming communities in Haiti.
